Copper Tube/Pipe Bending

Copper Tube/Pipe Bending

Copper Tube/Pipe Bending

(OP)
I looked in thread378-202545: Minimum Pipeline Bend Radius and didn't see anything about bending Type K copper tubing/pipe.

I have an application where I am running a storm leader that needs to be installed in hollow structural tubing that doesn't allow for standard pipe fittings.

I was thinking of using Type K copper for a portion since it can be bent to various angles.

I cannot find any information on allowable bending radii for 2" and/or 3" Type K.

Anybody have a suggestion or guidance?

RE: Copper Tube/Pipe Bending

They make commercial benders just for this app.  Check w/ manufacturers.  If you need only one or two bends and don't mind wasting a bit of tubing - fill one with sand - pack tight and bend it manually - if you can.
