Pipe Fitting LBS

(OP)
Hi all...

I was confuse in pipe fitting.
As what i understand when we purchase pipe schedule are to determind the thickness.

how about when we purchase pipe fitting LBS are also a standard to thickness????

anyone have a table provide for me to refer??

i am going to buy a nipple with 3000 lbs. i need to know the thicknees of this pipe nipple ID

thanks

RE: Pipe Fitting LBS

The information you are requesting is available from pipe and fitting manufacturers and reference standards.  Do a little searching on the internet.

RE: Pipe Fitting LBS

Here's another hint: What code or standard governs Class 3000 fittings? What code or standard governs pipe Schedules? Does fitting Class correlate to pipe Schedule or the other way around? Is a threaded nipple a fitting or a pipe?

I through lbs are mean for thickness???

just a small thread nipple. 1 1/4 NPT male to 1 1/4 NPT.

But we specification lbs. I do not know how many lbs i need. in order to get the Internal diameter i want...

RE: Pipe Fitting LBS

Depending on the length, you should buy roughly 2 lbs of pipe.

RE: Pipe Fitting LBS

Schedule 160 ASTM A106 seamless threaded nipple = 1.160 inch ID.

I have a chart with a forged hex nipple and it shows 27.9mm (1.098").  You're talking about a straight seamless pipe nipple though, right?
