(OP)
Hi

We are in the process of designing a septicity dosing system for a waste water pumping station to reduce the H2S04 further up the rising main, we are planning to dose with Nutriox (calcium nitrate)

From looking at existing systems I can see that the inputs to the system are mainly the level of septicity, the surrounding temperature and the flow. The basic contol logic is that in normal operation the dosing is at a set rate, say X.
When the temperature rises, X increases.
If the H2S04 rises, X increases.
If there is storm conditions where the flow through the main is high, the dosing stops.

My question is, is there a standard equation that can help determine the values required for the control logic to help determine X for the mentioned conditions?

I was hoping that there may even be a European standard to how dosing of this type is quantified.

Any help appreciated.

Justin
