I'm wondering if anyone knows of a seminar that is offered on general tower design (self-supporting lattice, guyed lattice, monopoles, etc), or any aspects of it.  Also helpful would be any website that could direct me to any seminars or books on this topic.  Thanks!

RE: education for tower structural design

pdhcenter.com has a lot of technical online seminars/self study lessons for pdh credit

RE: education for tower structural design

Our company teaches a 2 day seminar on the RISATower program.  That seminar has a lot of "here's the code provision.... here's how that is accounted for in the program."  So, it is a bit more than just teaching you how to use the program.

If you're in California, then the seminar starts tomorrow (Wed Sept. 22nd) and ends the day after.

I don't know of any good reference books on the subject. The best I have seen have been some presentations describing the differences between the TIA F standard and the TIA G standard.

Josh,
I'm in Oregon.  Which company and where in CA?  Do they offer it regularly?  Maybe you have a website link you could give me?  Thanks.

BJCURE -

Sorry about that.  I meant to add in a link, but got distracted.

Link to our training course (you want the one for RISATower):
http://www.risatech.com/t_courses.html

We're located in Foothill Ranch.  The airport is John Wayne / Santa Ana.... though LAX can work as well, it's just a long drive from the LA.  Especially with Southern California traffic.

We try to offer it twice a year, once on the east coast and once on the west coast.  There is no guarantee that we will do so next year, though I imagine we would.
