Sheet tangency
Sheet tangency
(OP)
Is there a way to tell nx(6) to make a sheet (mesh, surface,...) tangent to a datum plane or other sheets, but not just at the ends. For example, as seen on the picture, when I want to create arc between these 3 blue curves I just have to set it to be tangent to all three of them. I don't know and I don't care where does it starts, ends and it is tangent in the middle or it's radius. Blue curves are defined, but arc just has to be tangent to all of them. (arc's role is something like a blend). The problem is that I can't just extrude this section, because it's not constant, it changes a bit, and so does the arc. Thanks

Go to Face Blend and set the Type to 'Swept Section'. Then set the Radius Method to Law Control which will add one additional option in the Constraining and Limiting Geometry section of the dialog labeled 'Select Middle Tangent Object' which can be a surface or a datum plane. Now this was an early attempt to provide a 3-Face blend type operation but it only works in limited situations, but it might in your case, so give it a try.
