Can't edit cell in BOM

Can't edit cell in BOM

Hey Guys,
Has anyone ever ran into an issue where you want to edit a specific cell in a SW generated BOM, but when you double click it, Nothing happens?

I've tried deleting and re-inserting the BOM, clear temp file and rebooting, even creating a brand new part and inserting that in the assy model and it still doesn't work.

It's only the QTY. column that does this, all other columns when clicked are editable (after breaking the link, of course). Column is not locked.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

I just figured it out.

If you suppress a certain error message, it won't work.

So, do not suppress the error message that reads;
"This cell is parametrically linked to a part or assembly document...etc"

Thanks anyways

thanx for sharing

RE: Can't edit cell in BOM

Years ago, Wordperfect for mac could be installed w/o serial # by suppressing the prompt for S/N.

RE: Can't edit cell in BOM

mjake1966 ... That's not an error message. It's a message warning about the consequences of editing the cell.

Selecting the Do not ask me again option prevents the message from appearing every time a cell is edited.

I'm running SW2010-SP4.0 and cell editing works fine for me after the "Do not..." option is selected.

Maybe time for you to update the SP?
