How to make holes in curved surfaces??

How to make holes in curved surfaces??

How to make holes in curved surfaces??

(OP)
Hi!

After almost one year of "playing" with Solid Edge ver. 3, I've encountered a few problems.
I can't make protrusion cutouts or holes in curved surfaces. Example: I create a cylinder and I want to make holes in it. But not on planar tops rather in curved surface that generates it. This is a simple example, but if I want create a revolved object with a curved generator, like a bottle or something, and want to create holes in it, even if it's only for fun, how should I proceed?

How can I create more complex extruded objects with a 3D path or axis and with different profiles within? I think that's something that combines swept and lofted protrusions.

Thank you.

RE: How to make holes in curved surfaces??

We are currently running SE V11, and not having seen SE V3 I don't what the limitations are.  Certainly in V11 you can put a hole through a curved surface simply by putting the hole on a plane perpendicular to the axis of the hole you wish to generate.
I hope this may be of some assistance.
