Art Of Relay Coordination & Settings

Art Of Relay Coordination & Settings

(OP)
Hello Everybody....

Power System Studies and especially Relay coordination and settings is my passion. But its very unfortunate that even in today's age of internet, guidelines and help on these topics is not available. Like for Relay Coordination, only one standard document "ABCs of Overcurrent Coordination" is available on Internet.

Why we hesitate to Share about above???

RE: Art Of Relay Coordination & Settings

Why do you hesitate to spend some money to buy books on the subject of your "Passion"?

Professionals are in the business to make living also. They do share their experience as you see on this website but we all have a living to make. If you are in a jam and need a nudge to get out of it, sites like this can help.

If you do web search correctly, even on this website, there is plenty of help on "ABC" of O/C coordination.

Try searching Areva- NPAG guide.

Also "The Art and Science of Protective Relaying" is available on-line.

I'll let you search yourself since you didn't see fit to furnish a link to the "only standard document" available.

RE: Art Of Relay Coordination & Settings

Rbulsara has a point.  If you know there is a publication that you want, then you should purchase it (or get your employer to purchase it if they are generous enough to do so.  However, I realize that you cannot go out and purchase every power and electrical engineering book that comes along that is of interest.  A quick google search yielded what you are looking for.  Copy and paste on link below.

Good Luck!

RE: Art Of Relay Coordination & Settings

IMHO, the best book on the subject is:

Reimert - Protective Relaying for Power Generation Systems

RE: Art Of Relay Coordination & Settings

Michigan Tech. is offering a Protection and Relaying class online this coming spring. It is being taught by Dr.Mork and he is a pretty good prof.
