Plate rolling machine
Plate rolling machine
(OP)
Hello All,
I am a mechanical engineer at a pipe fab shop. Recently we have been implementing the use of reinforcment pads on the piping much more frequently than in the past.
Currently this involves either having a vendor roll repads for us or use a manual press to shape the pads to fit the pipe.
It occurs to me that a plate roller would be in order for us, but I am having a tough time finding a suitably small unit. I would like to be able to roll 1/2" thick plate up to 36" wide.
Any help or direction towards a munufacturer of suitable equipment (new or used) would be greatly appreciated.

A question properly stated is a problem half solved.
Always remember, free advice is worth exactly what you pay for it!

It performed quite well. We bought the 4 roll model to roll closer to the pinch roll and eliminated the "drop" left on the ends to be cut off.
Cons: not as heavy made as the vintage stuff still out there on the resale markets.
