Converting Metric to Imperial Drawings quickly

Converting Metric to Imperial Drawings quickly

Converting Metric to Imperial Drawings quickly

(OP)
Hi

I was just wondering if their was a way to take my metric drawing and quickly change to imperial. As of now I choose all of the dimensions and switch them from ANSImm to ANSI, but have to individually convert and input tolerances (usually dont have a standard tolerance for many dimensions). I guess my question really would be is if I could get all of my manually input tolerances changed to imperial automatically somehow.

Thanks

Jordan.

RE: Converting Metric to Imperial Drawings quickly

Jordan,

As far as I can tell, the tolerance values are unitless and treated as text. You could enter numbers or text into the fields. While I haven't had the need to convert between metric and imperial, I could see how this would be handy.

As for the dimensions, you can change the setup of the whole drawing by changing the Style. On the toolbar, on the View tab, there is a button for Style. Click on that and it brings you into the setup for the document and should default to dimensions. You can change from ANSImm to ANSI (or ISO, or DIN or...) with a couple mouse clicks. That should save you some time with the first part of your process.

Jason
