Revision Table Changes Color when Saved as pdf

Revision Table Changes Color when Saved as pdf

Revision Table Changes Color when Saved as pdf

(OP)
Hello all,

I have a revision table in my drawing in SW2010 SP3.1.
On screen the table borders and text all display in dark blue, as desired.
It appears the same in print preview, and when printed. All good so far.

Saving as a pdf however, the revision table borders change to black, with the text and all other title block lines displaying correctly in dark blue.

I've tried playing with the pdf save options to no avail. Best I can do is save as black and white. Not always desirable.

Any thoughts?

As a side note, it would be nice to change the revision table text color independently of the border color.
Is there a "nice" way of doing this?
That is, better than individually editing each text box and changing the color?

Thanks

Did you tried printing as PDF using a PDF printer like CutePDF or PDF995

Just to be sure ... Did you select the Export PDF in color option in the Options section?

Thanks for the replies.

Gupta, I have not tried using a pdf printer. Only saving as pdf through SW.

fcsuper, I have tried changing layers and colors with no success.

Limey, I do have that option selected, although it may be easier to have everyone in the office un-check this option, and use only black and white pdf's.

I have noticed that all types of tables produce the same result. The text displays as it should, but the table borders change to black.

I have attached a sample.
To clarify, when displayed on my screen, or printed in color through SW, or saved as a jpg, everything displays as dark blue, except the rectangular part which is black.

RE: Revision Table Changes Color when Saved as pdf

I would second the suggestion to try printing to PDF instead of saving as PDF.  I haven't run into this particular problem in the past, but I have found the print to PDF to be more reliable (and faster) than save to PDF.  For what it's worth I use CutePDF for this purpose.

Does this work?
Open Acrobat, go to "Edit/Preferences".
under categories, go to "Color Management". On the right go to "Settings", change drop down to "Monitor Color".
