Hi,

Does anybody know how to calculate minimun retirement pipe thickness for heaters? I am locking for some application because the process using API 530 seems quite difficult.

Regards,
Miguel Diaz.

Miguel-

Sometimes you have to do difficult things. You are an engineer, right? Not just a software driver?

Plenty of consultants to help you if you need. They rightfully expect to be reasonably compensated for their services. The advice you get for free from an anonymous internet forum is worth every Bolivar you pay for it if you don't back it up with your own competence and research and effort.

Miguel,
As jte says "engineering" is not always easy. If you are out of your depth rather than try and do the assessment incorrectly, which could be catastrophic, employ a reputable/competent engineer/company to perform the assessment you need. Don't just shy away from an approach (i.e. API530) because it looks difficult and try to solicit an easy (probably not correct)method.

Thanks, it is time to do the math.

Hello everybody:

I absolutely agree with jte and DSB123, but even so, I am sending you this document that I collected in CR4 Forum.
