How do I specify bar orientation with a vector other than Coord 0?

How do I specify bar orientation with a vector other than Coord 0?

How do I specify bar orientation with a vector other than Coord 0?

(OP)
Hi all,

When I go to input properties for a General Section Beam (CBAR), I would like to specify the bar orientation using a vector with respect to Coord 1.

However, even after changing the Default Coordinate Frame, along with the analysis and reference coordinate frames of the nodes, the input still applies the vector with respect to Coord 0.

(If I select Node id from the Value Type dropdown menu, that just defines a vector from the element node to the selected node as the bar orientation, which is an alternative, but I prefer not to have floating nodes)

Please respond if you know how to define the bar orientation vector with respect to a frame other than Coord 0.

Thanks!
