Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

(OP)
I hid some curves in sketcher some time ago.  Now I need to show them, but can't find the menu picks anywhere- all the usual show/hide menu picks don't seem to work.  Even "show all" doesn't work.

The curve segments are still there- I can still see the dimensions...

Any ideas?

Peter

RE: Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

What version of NX are you in?

RE: Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

(OP)
NX 6.0

RE: Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

Without having the actual file I'm no sure what we can do.  I tried duplicating the behavior you described by creating Sketches in both Modeling and Drafting, and in the case of Drafting, both in a View and on the Drawing sheet itself, and I can NOT reproduce the behavior you have decribed.

Note that I using NX 6.0.5.3 (no MP's).

John- creating the sketch in modeling mode, create a few lines, then right-click and hide them.  Close sketch, save part and exit NX.  On restarting and reopening the part, are the lines still hidden?

RE: Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

My best guess would be to make sure everything in the sketch is in the same layer.
Make the sketch external from the feature, then move it into a layer.
When moving it to the layer pick the sketch from the model tree so everything within the sketch will get selected, not just what is seen on the screen - then make the sketch internal to the feature when you are done.

RE: Sketcher: Show Hidden Curves

I tried your test and YES, the lines are still hidden.

However, after reading Jerry's comment I tried what he alluded to and THIS will reproduce your behavior, that is if only the curves and NOT the Sketch are moved to another layer and then that layer is made Visible but the layer that the Sketch was originally created on, and was still on when the curves were hidden, is set to Invisible, you will not be able to unhide the hidden curves.
