Changing direction on a Brook Crompton motor

Changing direction on a Brook Crompton motor

(OP)
Hi all, I have a AC 240V 5.1amp Brook Crompton motor.  It is running in the wrong direction. How can I change the direction of travel?

Many thanks

Andy

RE: Changing direction on a Brook Crompton motor

If it's a three phase machine then swap any two of the three phases. If it's a single phase machine then start here... thread237-254253: Reverse 240V Motor

And post the namplate information, or a photo of the nameplate!

You might get more responses to your question in the Motors forum than in this Lighting forum....
