Curve driven pattern around the perimeter

Curve driven pattern around the perimeter

Curve driven pattern around the perimeter

I would like to pattern the hole around the sketch line (highlighted blue). The sketch like is an offset of the outside edge.

The curve driven pattern is not letting me do this I think as it says the curve must be composed of a single contour.

It is important to select the curve as a whole and not do it reputedly for each contour as I would like equal spacing of bolt holes.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Curve driven pattern around the perimeter

To get a continuous curve for a curve driven pattern you will need to create a Curve feature (Insert->Curve maybe? I'm at home) based on your sketch.

RE: Curve driven pattern around the perimeter

Create a Composite Curve from the sketch you have drawn. You could also create a Composite Curve from either the inner or outer edges of the part; the hole offset will be maintained.

Thanks CorBlimeyLimey! Your solution worked well!

RE: Curve driven pattern around the perimeter

You are welcome.

Were you affected by the recent quake?

No, just one city in NZ, Christchurch. Its ok though as nobody was killed. Some old buildings are broken.
