large, thin walled brass bushings; how its made?

(OP)
does anybody know the process for making large brass bushes (say 450mm diameter) and thin walled (about 10mm thickness)? the quality is a must, so no defects and pit holes, and the part will be machined afterwards to high finish and tight tolerances.
this bush is used as a taper lock device for installing rolls on shafts and will experience very large torques and stress on this thin wall.
any idea?
:)

You can centrifugally cast them with adequate allowance and then machine. No defects  are encountered,if the liquid metal is clean.

Make (cast, buy, fabricate, etc) oversize, fixture on the OD in order to machine the ID, then fixture on a mandrel to machine the OD.

How about flow forming?

Depending on the volume why not machine them from a solid?

Centrifugal casting is a common method for manufacturing tubular brass/bronze bushings.   If necessary, external flanges can be integrally cast.

Ditto on centrifugal casting.  We had success with a 90Cu-10Ni alloy about 450mm diameter, 50 mm wall, and 135 length.

3rd ditto for c'fugal casting.

...so, the LPS goes to...arunmrao!
