large, thin walled brass bushings; how its made?
large, thin walled brass bushings; how its made?
(OP)
does anybody know the process for making large brass bushes (say 450mm diameter) and thin walled (about 10mm thickness)? the quality is a must, so no defects and pit holes, and the part will be machined afterwards to high finish and tight tolerances.
this bush is used as a taper lock device for installing rolls on shafts and will experience very large torques and stress on this thin wall.
any idea?
:)
