About Hyd. system

(OP)
Hello I have a Barnes, PFG-30-10A3 Hyd. pump , and a vickers 3 pos. 4 way closed center valve. First does anyone know the flow rate and output pressure of this pump?  and second What will I need in addition to make these power a double acting cylinder that needs to hold?

RE: About Hyd. system

Contact the manufacturer, Brown & Sharpe also makes this product.

RE: About Hyd. system

JS Barnes is the manufacturer, now part of Haldex.
Without knowing the pump displacement and driver speed you can not know the pump flow delivery.
If the valve you have is a closed center valve you can not use it with the Barnes pump which is probably a fixed displacement pump.  You need an open center cylinder valve which will bypass the pump flow and block the cylinder ports when the valve is centered.
I have not had good luck finding specs for your pump.

RE: About Hyd. system

Are you sure it is a Barnes pump?

The pump number looks like a BSM Corp pump(Brown and Sharpe).
See this link:http://www.studentmarket.com/BSM-Pump-PFG-XX-10A3-OCK1010.html

I would guess your '30' size is halfway between the '20' and '40' size.  Therefore displacement is 0.0018gal/cycle.
There is no indication of pressure capacity.  BSM Corp. advertises pumps pressures 'up to 2000psi'.
