Showing part color in Hidden Line Removed View

Showing part color in Hidden Line Removed View

(OP)
Is it possible to show part/body color in hidden line removed view? I need to show color, but don't want the pixelation that comes with the shaded view.

RE: Showing part color in Hidden Line Removed View

Using SW2009 for the above.

RE: Showing part color in Hidden Line Removed View

On the Colors Tab of the Document Properties settings in Options there is a radio button to check to
[]Apply same color for Wireframe, HLR and Shaded modes.

This property cannot be set for Assembly files but if all the Parts in an assembly have this Document Property option selected your Assembly will show parts in the same color in any line display mode. See example below

This shows for the model view. Is there any way to get it to show in HLR in a drawing (besides edit the line colors or manually fill)?

RE: Showing part color in Hidden Line Removed View

Try toggling the Color Display Mode in the Line Format toolbar.

Under System Options - Color settings you can specify colors for
Drawings, Visible Edges
Drawings, Hidden edges
Drawings, Model Edges (SpeedPak)
Drawings, Model Tangent Edges

Click in the Color scheme list and hit D till Drawings, Paper color is highlighted then scroll down a few lines.
This sounds like an enhancement request. Your method of changing the line display takes more work but can allow for colors to be per file and not system wide.

You can actually make a layer and add the Part to it.
Just pick on the part when arrow is pointing to layer and hit move. The layer can also be hidden to free up room to move or edit annotations. This will change the visible edge colors but hidden lines will still follow the System Options color settings.
