3D sectioned drawing view

3D sectioned drawing view

I am on NX6.
I have a tri-metric view on my drawing that I would like to be shown as sectioned down the middle of it.
I have seen this done at some NX presentations but I do not remember how to do it.
How do I show a 3D view on a drawing as sectioned?

RE: 3D sectioned drawing view

Whilst there are a fews ways of doing this I'm sure in later versions, here is one simple example of how to do and control what you asked for, it will work on assemblies too.

Hope it helps

Thanks Simon, that worked out perfect.

RE: 3D sectioned drawing view

Hi,

There is an other way...

1° - Create your non-cutting tri-metric view.
2° - select "Section view".
3° - define the cutting line position & orientation on an other view.
4° - don't click left to postion the section view, but click on the right mouse.
5° - Choose "Section orientation" > "Section existin view".
6° - Select your tri-metric view.

Best regards.
