Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

(OP)
Whenever I make SLDDRWs of assemblies I have numerous sketches that need to be eliminated for clarity. I have been going through and individually right-clicking them and then clicking Hide. The other way I've done this is turning them off from View -> Sketches. But, if I do it this latter way, if I send the SLDDRW to someone else will they still possibly see the sketches in the SLDDRW unless they ALSO turn off View -> Sketches?
Thank you!

Where exactly am I checking in the template settings?

RE: Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

You can try in Main Menu: View->Hide all Types, or uncheck Sketches.

RE: Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

Right-click on your drawing and select Edit Sheet Format.  Uncheck the View/Sketches.  Save as a template.

Eltron,
I don't want to save that setting to the template, but I guess what I'm asking is whether the View/Sketches setting (ON/OFF) remains with the SLDDRW file or not or whether it's local to the computer. Say for a certain SLDDRW I turn OFF View/Sketches, then send the SLDDRW file to someone who opens it. Will the sketches be OFF for him, or is it possible they'd be ON?
Thanks.

RE: Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

TeejT,

I make a practice of shutting off all origins, sketches and planes, and I leave my part and assembly models and drawings set to view this stuff.  This allows me to turn them on when I want.  I see the ones I am interested in.  I do my model changes, then I turn them off.  I wish my co-workers would turn stuff off.  I hate having to click on Hike all types, but sometimes, I have to.

Hide the non-model featuresa and try to reason with your co-workers.  I do not think there is an other way.

RE: Hiding all sketches in assembly drawing

Could a macro be used to interrogate the components of an assy, and hide any shown sketches?
