Guys I was going through an interesting thread on the subject:

thread1203-152033: Choked Flow For Vapor PSV Relief

It is still unclear if no details for the PSV is available, could the discharge piping be designed assuming max. back pressure ( P1 for tail piping ) as 10% of set pressure and exit pressure as atm.

Thanks

RE: Choked flow for Vapor PSV Relief

If "no details" are available, how would one know what size of pipe to assume.

Good luck,
Latexman

I mean if details like make, model etc. are not available but max flow rate, set pressure and inlet & outlet size are available( so 10% max. back pressure is known ).

Thanks

RE: Choked flow for Vapor PSV Relief

Sounds possible.

Good luck,
Latexman
