Re-associate symbolic threads
Re-associate symbolic threads
(OP)
Hello everyone
One of our users has a large model which contains nearly 100 threads. However approximately 30 of these threads have lost their way and are now represented in the model tree by the dreaded white cross in a red circle instead of a nice shiney green tick.
Double clicking on any of these threads only allows you to open the feature parameters dialogue box but there is nothing to allow you to re-attach them. Is there any other way of re-attaching/associating a symbolic thread
I have attached a jpg of the edit update status.
Many thanks in advance.

BTW, how is it that the parent faces were removed/deleted in the first place?

RE: Re-associate symbolic threads
Thanks for the reply, I have asked the question regarding the faces being removed.
Best regards

RE: Re-associate symbolic threads
My only thought is if you Right Click in your part navigator you can open the "Object Dependency Browser" and find the face ID number it's looking for.
I don't know whether there is a way to pick the face you want and give it a new ID number (ie the one the thread wants to see). I suspect I'm breaking the very laws of physics there, but hey, you can wonder!!!
