Save 'animation' from eDrawing

Save 'animation' from eDrawing

Save 'animation' from eDrawing

(OP)
When you create an eDrawing, there is the 'Play' button which will nicely rotate the model thru each of the pre-defined views. I think this is a great feature, and the 'movie' it shows is very appealing for presentations.

1) Is there any way to save that 'animation' out as a movie file (.mov/.mpeg/...)?
or,
2) Is there a generic/predefined movie that can be easily and quickly created in motion study.

Does anyone have a fast method for creating movies of their SW models without the time and hassle of defining everything in a motion study?

RE: Save 'animation' from eDrawing

You can use animation wizard to create simple animations without the need for camera sleds and so forth. This can include spins and explodes

To create a walkthrough:
Go to lights cameras and scenes and add camera
Make the camera floating
Untick lock camera position
Go to motion study
Make sure autokey is selected
Untick disable view creation
Use space bar to select camera view
Drag the time bar, then move to the new position and repeat

RE: Save 'animation' from eDrawing

Many screen capture utilities should do the trick.
Jing, Cam Studio and Camtasia for example.
