How do you turn centerlines off on an existing drawing view?

How do you turn centerlines off on an existing drawing view?

How do you turn centerlines off on an existing drawing view?

(OP)
I am nearly done with the detailing of the part, and in advertantly added all of the centerlines to the view.  Is there a command that will turn all of the centerlines off as easily as you can turn them all on?

Hi, BOBORUSH:

Not sure if you can turn centerlines off.  But you can always box-select and delete them all.

Why would you want to "hide" something on prints?

Best regards,

Alex

RE: How do you turn centerlines off on an existing drawing view?

Adding centerlines to everything in a view is way too easy to do inadvertently.  It's the most idiot command in SW.  I often detail large assemblies, and it's easy to have a view selected when you start the centerline tool.  Then your PC locks up for several minutes finding all the cylinders to put centerlines on.

The only way to avoid this is to hit Esc a bunch of times before activating the centerline tool.  Centerline is undo-able immediately afterward, but if that's not an option anymore you'll just have to delete them with the selection filter and a box-select as mentioned before.

Open drawing template. Do to Tools/Options/Document Properties/Detailing/. On the right side of the window is "Auto Insert on view creation, un-check "Centerlines".
Save template.

Oh, how I wish that would have some effect.
