SAW process on 3/16" stainless steel tank

SAW process on 3/16" stainless steel tank

(OP)
We have been fabricating 3/16"-3/8" stainless pressure vessels (condensate flash tanks) using FCAW process (dual shield).

But we would like to increase production using SAW process of 304L stainless.

Anyone have any experience in this field/process who could offer insight into what set up to buy, filler metals, flux, etc?

Thanks in advance for any input,
QC Robert

RE: SAW process on 3/16" stainless steel tank

SAW has been used for 1/4" to 3/8" wall s.s. vessel fabrications. Contact Lincoln or Miller for Power supply options. Recommend a chromium fortified flux to compensate for chrome loss though the arc.
