Circular Reference Error

Circular Reference Error

Circular Reference Error

(OP)
I have a situation where my Nx-5 .prt opens OK, but the .drw errors out with a Circular Reference and will not load.  I am at my wits end, how do I resolve this issue?

RE: Circular Reference Error

Import the problem part into a new part then fix the assembly structure.

Problem, I have no idea which part is causing the Circular Reference. The error message mantions the Part List, could my BOM be causing it?

RE: Circular Reference Error

Load the assembly without any componets first and then fully load one at a time to find the part causing the problem.  Once you have found the part that is causing the problem then load that part first next time and delete the mating constraint that is causing the problem.  Load the rest of the assembly.

Running cad straight out of the box is OK but, a system tuned with application software is the best way to increase productivity.

RE: Circular Reference Error

I have had situations where the Parts List is the culprit. Deleting it did fix the issue. Then, simply recreate it.
