PLC- Touch screen interface

PLC- Touch screen interface

PLC- Touch screen interface

(OP)
I am working on a project in using programmable logic controllers.  I am trying to find the MEDIUM or SOFTWARE available to link the (PLC) and a touch screen interface for putting in inputs to the PLC module.  I am using a 6" touch screen interface from Automation Direct and an Allen Bradley SLC 500 (PLC). I dont know if it would require an analog card or not.  The PLC will ignite lights as the final output.  The interface and PLC will be used as a trainer for students...  I will like to hear from anyone who can help

RE: PLC- Touch screen interface

phillipm2:

The slc500 does DH485. So you would use the EZ-DH485-CBL cable to connect to the slc500 from the EZ touch panel. In the eztouch software (EZ-touchedit)you would choose driver "ab slc500/micrologix dh485/AIC."

This is also all listed in the help file in the software. It is also in appendix C of the EZ touch software manual.

The most current version of the software is 2.2, if you don't have it go to
http://support.automationdirect.com/products/eztouch.html

You can always call support at 770-844-4200.
