Printing A3 draft on A4 paper
Printing A3 draft on A4 paper
(OP)
Hi all,
On Solid Edge 20, I have an A3 Draft. Is there any way to print this unscaled on two A4 pieces of paper (so that if they were placed next to each other it would essentially be in A3) as I don't have access to an A3 printer. It's only for rough purposes but the smaller size isn't really suitable.
Thanks for any help.

As most printers don't print all the way to the edge of an A4 (297x210mm) your print area would have to be less.

Thanks for the help guys.

Previously when I didn't have an A3 printer but did have a separate copier then I'd print the drawing on A4, go to the copier and enlarge it to A3.
Obviously, you risk losing some definition etc. but I'll throw it out there anyway.

I bet you've also enlarged parts of drawings on the copier so you could measure off them easily.
Why was the horizontal scale always slightly different to the verical?
Did you ever stick one face down to the window on a sunny day and trace on the back to get the opposite hand version?

Not that I condone scaling from drawings obviously.
I haven't done the window thing. However, the for some of the few 'paper' (silk, velum, milar or the like actually) I would print off the text and then trace it.
