Printing A3 draft on A4 paper

Printing A3 draft on A4 paper

Hi all,

On Solid Edge 20, I have an A3 Draft. Is there any way to print this unscaled on two A4 pieces of paper (so that if they were placed next to each other it would essentially be in A3) as I don't have access to an A3 printer. It's only for rough purposes but the smaller size isn't really suitable.

Thanks for any help.

RE: Printing A3 draft on A4 paper

I think you have posted in wrong community as this is SolidWorks Community.

But as the problem is of general nature, I will give it a try.

Draw a line as so that the A3 is divided into 2 A4 sheets. Then print 1:1 scale & select the print area by window in a way that you get the line into both prints. Print it & then cut the sheet on the line & joint them together.

Hope that helps.

Ah yes, you're quite right, I always thought Solid Edge was a product by SolidWorks, seems it's actually made by Siemens.

I appreciate the help anyway, I shall give your method a go. Thanks.

If you can make it into a PDF, Acrobat Reader will tile it out to smaller sheets.
