Automatic Custom Property List creation?

Automatic Custom Property List creation?

Automatic Custom Property List creation?

(OP)
I want to have an automatic list of custom properties created for each part that I can fill out when going to File -> Properties while building the part, instead of picking through the list of Property Name pull-down menu items for the same properties every time. However, I don't want to delete any from the Edit Custom Property List in case I want to use others later. So I just want each Part to have under the Custom tab a list of Property Names, e.g.
PartNo
Description
Material
Finish
DrawnBy
DrawnDate
Vendor
Then when I go to File -> Properties all I'd have to do is fill out the Value/Text Expression box instead of that PLUS hunting around for all the Property Name items from the pull-down menus.
Thank you!

RE: Automatic Custom Property List creation?

1. Start a new part
2. Add all those properties.  No values needed.
3. Save as a template.

RE: Automatic Custom Property List creation?

In 2009 & 2010, create a property tab table using the Property Tab Builder. One each for Parts, Assemblies, Drawings. No need to go to File>Properties. Only include the ones you want on mode's tab. You can still access the others the older way if needed.
