Package Assembly

Package Assembly

Package Assembly

(OP)
Hello,

Is there a way to 'package' an assembly file?  I'd like to have an assembly become a single part file, where I wouldn't need to keep track of two separate files.  I have a drawing template that creates an assembly when used, but it is unnecessary to have 2 files (one is the template 'stuff' and drawing, the other is the part that the drawing is made for), so I would like to save them as just one file.

Thanks,

Jacob

RE: Package Assembly

Having a separate file for the drawing is part of the 'master model' concept that is the recommended way to work. There are benefits to this way of doing things (search this forum for 'master model') but if you are convinced 1 file is better, you can do that too. Don't use the drawing template, when you are ready to create the drawing; just switch over to the drafting application. Model and drawing will be in the same file.
