Can anybody give me a hint, whether subjects like compressors or blowers are also part of this internetsite? My search action didn't produce any results.

Yes.  There is a forum for "Gas Compression Engineering" that would be a better fit than this one. Issues regarding fans or blowers could be addressed under "Mechanical Engineering Other Topics" or a forum dedicated to the particular issue such as materials and metallurgy or bearings.
