Desireable torque to rotate an indexed jig

Hi,

Designing a jig that will rotate a small alignment socket (.75" sq) to indexed 0deg and 45 degree positions, will be operated ~1 or 2 times daily. Thinking of a knob or hex head for an allen key to operate it. The torque to operate it can be set w/ a detent and pin.

I can't find a reference on this, what's a reasonable range for torque to operate this. I'm thinking like the changing channels on a TV (when they had knobs) or a bit heavier.

This could also be operated w/ a 1/4" cap screw and allen key, enough force for positive location, balance that w/ ease of operation.

1/4-20 detent pin w/ 1/8" ball, 2-3lb force range, 1" dia delrin rotor w/ 90 deg CS, .050 deep for detent holes. estimate 2 in-lb w/ friction.
