corrosion trials and the effect of Zinc Coating

(OP)
I am currently performing corrosion trials on naked standard steel test piece for use in sea water. However in service the product will be zinc plated. Does anyone have any guidance on what time offset should be applied to the results with the addition on the zinc coating??

i don't know if you mean a galvanized steel when you say that the "product will be zinc plated" but have a look at this site:
http://www.galvanizeit.org/
http://www.galvanizeit.org/aga/about-hot-dip-galvanizing/

you'll find a lot of very useful information on corrosion resistance and there is also a Life-Cycle Cost Calculator to compare galvanized steel vs coated steel.

hope this can help u
