Weighted Coating System

Weighted Coating System

Weighted Coating System

(OP)
I'm looking to find a weighted coating system applicable for a 2inch spoolpiece approximately 50m long. I've looked into concrete coatings however these are generally only applicable to 4inch+ from what i've read. I'm sure there must be a wrap/half shell system that can be used on spools but several hours on google hasnt revealed anything...
Thanks.

RE: Weighted Coating System

At that size, would extra steel ie more wall thickness- be cost effective?

its a subsea spoolpiece that will not be mattressed and so will need to be stable under 100 year maximum environmental loading and so an increase in wall thickness is not really an option, would have to increase it by far too much.

Rubber lining? Not sure how they do it with a 50 m long piece of pipe but at least those companies can give you a tip if the cannot coat it.

Yeah thats always an option, client has already gotten the spoolpieces manufactured so i was looking into alternative solutions.
