Simpson Strong-Tie workshop / IRC 2009 braced walls

(OP)
Just a note for those who may be interested.

I attended a helpful workshop sponsored by Simpson Strong-Tie yesterday. There was a 4 hr session in the morning on residential deck connections. In the afternoon there was a 4 hr session on IRC 2009 braced wall specs. As I do not stay as abreast of ICC code developement as I would like to be... the braced wall session was a wonderful time saver for me considering the changes that have been made in the '09 code. The workshops were free and will help me meet my PDH requirements for PA.
