Hi,

I'm new to this website but heard a lot ...now it would be really helpful to me if some one can get some information on this.
I have few tanks having suction pipes without belmouth (u can see attachment).

Technically what would be effect with this arrangement.

Depends on the viscosity and velocity. You have a condition close to a sharp edged orifice, which can cause a vena contracta to occur, which will restrict flow. ISZ
