T-cutter and cutting negative walls

T-cutter and cutting negative walls

(OP)
Hello Guys,

Can someone help me with this element? I want to cut negative walls with T-Cutter tool diameter 100, but I'm not so experienced in NX and I cannot find a suitible strategy to cut it.

RE: T-cutter and cutting negative walls

Most of it can be done with face milling. Pick the floor as cut area, prifile cut pattern, and turn OFF prevent undercutting. To finish the underside of the overhang, you will need surface contouring.

Normally, I would suggest cavity milling with tolerant off, but this looks like a faceted body.

Mark,

It's not a faceted body. It's a solid body imported from solidworks file.
I tried to use cavity mill with tolerant off, but it's not what I'm looking for. It generate toolpath up to down for the profile (when I choose profie cut pattern). What I want to do is a rough cutting, profiling of the external edges with end mill cutter and make undercutting with T-cutter and finally, cut negative walls with a T-cutter.

I do not have an option for 4 or 5 axes machines. I need to use 3-axes machine and cut it anyway.
