HEC-RAS to AutoCAD

HEC-RAS to AutoCAD

HEC-RAS to AutoCAD

(OP)
I have been googleing for days and unable to find an addon that will enable me to import HEC-RAS data to AuotCAD and vis versa.

Does anyone have an addon they would be willing to share ? as it would help me greatly.

Thanks

Rob.

RE: HEC-RAS to AutoCAD

BOSS RiverCAD would be the first to come to mind.

I believe that there is a way to create .shp files with HEC-GeoRas that you can import to LDD with the "mapinsert" or "mapimport" command.

Hope this helps.

RE: HEC-RAS to AutoCAD

If you are a subscription customer, there is an extension that you can download from Autodesk for Civil 3D.  You have to use an alignment with section lines for the cross-section locations.  I have never brought the HEC-RAS data back in, however.

RE: HEC-RAS to AutoCAD

HEC-GeoRAS works with ArcGIS and it takes some time to get familiar with it.
Works pretty well though.
As Ryb01 said, you can import shape files as layers/object with the Map Menu (AutoCAD MAP).
