BLASTING

BLASTING

BLASTING

(OP)
CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO MEASURE THE AMOUNT OF STONE THAT WOULD BE BLASTED IN AN AREA THAT HAS 59 HOLES WITH A 6'X 5'PATTERN 44FEET DEEP. IF FOR EVERY 4 HOLES COVERS 30 SQ FT?
IF ANYONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT I MEAN PLEASE FORWARD THE FORMULA OR INFORMATION ON HOW TO ACHIEVE THE CORRECT RESULTS.

RE: BLASTING

The conventional calculation is pretty trivial:

Volume shot per hole (cu.yds.) = B * S * H / 27, where

B = burden in feet (6' in this example)
S = spacing in feet (5' in this example)
H = hole depth in feet (44' in this example)

V per hole is about 49 cu/yd, or about 2890 cu yd for 59 holes.

Sorry I didn't check this out earlier.
