Best books for acoustic beginner

(OP)
I'm a beginner in acoustics engineering. Someone can help me chose a good "for dummies" intro book?

Thanks

Michele

RE: Best books for acoustic beginner

Check out the FAQ for this forum.  Some nice kind soul has already prepared some good references and links.

RE: Best books for acoustic beginner

"Fundamentals of Acoustics"  Kinsler& Frey.

Not really a dummies book, but that was the one I used to learn acoustics.

RE: Best books for acoustic beginner

For Industrial Noise Control:
"Machinery Acoustics" by George M. Diehl Wiley-Interscience 1973
Perhaps a newer version is available, but the fundamentals do not change!
