NX5 Part Attributes

NX5 Part Attributes

NX5 Part Attributes

(OP)
I have a part attribute that is residing in a part that is not needed any longer. It is however still in the attribute listing for a part that needs to be exported  out of TCe for a customer. My TCe Object Export fails due to this bogus attribute and all efforts to remove this attribute have failed. I need verification of the proper way to remove this attribute from the attribute listing. Can anyone help?

RE: NX5 Part Attributes

Are you saying that if you go into...

File -> Properties -> Attributes

...that you can't delete the attribute?

If that's the case, try this.  Go to...

Format -> Reference Sets...

...select the 'Model' Reference Set and then select the 'Properties' icon on the righthand side of dialog.  Do you see the Attribute there that you're having problems with?  If so, delete it there.

Thanks John for your response. I am curious. We are running NX5.0.3.2. would this icon be in the same location in this version?

RE: NX5 Part Attributes

It's not an icon, but a pull-down - located on the very top,and left, of the grey area in the NX window.

RE: NX5 Part Attributes

In the case of NX 5.0, the 'icon' in the Reference Set dialog is labled 'Edit Attributes' and is the 2nd from the right at the bottom of the dialog.
