How are mature graduates viewed?

(OP)
Hi Im currently working as a steel fixer and have enough of it.So Im thinking of going to uni to study electronic engineering so have a few questions people might be able to help me with.
As im now 27 would a graduating age of 33 be off putting for a potential employer?
Are there any other mature grads on here working in the industry and how did you go about getting into it?
Thanks in advance for any help

RE: How are mature graduates viewed?

I don't think it would be a major obstacle.  Expectations for performance and work habits would be higher, due to, presumably, greater maturity and focus.  You might want to think about something other than electronics if you're looking for stability.

Not sure where you are at, but in the US, we see a fair number of older graduates who have spent a few years in the military, then moved on to college.

Mature?

27 is the new 17 winky smile

I don't see your age as a hindrance, since most companies today don't have any expectations of employee longevity, so the fact that we're getting you as a "mature" starting engineer is not a problem.  Nonetheless, everything is often assessed on an individual basis.
