help NX6 no longer perform the join operation
help NX6 no longer perform the join operation
(OP)
Good morning
Someone of you could help me.
Since last week my ugs NX6 no longer perform the joining operation. Although listed in the part navigator in the model still appear disjointed parts.
As if I did and when I want to or subtract some hole lake I have to do so because although the individual parts together does not recognize it as one,
I hope I can help and sent a picture of how the model appears after you have joined
Greetings you soon

RE: help NX6 no longer perform the join operation
Perhaps if you took a different attempt at explaining it or if you included some images or even part files it might help.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

or completely deselecting them and then reselecting them

But after doing the operation
Still appear the lines dividing
Both bodies as if they were individual

Insert -> Trim -> Join Face...
...and with the 'Join Method' set to 'On Same Surface', select the body and hit OK. Now if a message comes up stating that it 'Failed to change topology' that means that the 'extra edges' cannot be removed and the model is what it is.

Use any one of the faces as the "face to replace" and the other face as the "replacement face"

At the end of the day I seldom if ever take the view that the geometry is what it is. I take the view that my job as a modeller is to bend the geometry to my will so I make it my business to come up with ways to make that happen. It is whatever I want it to be.
