AF 163 film adhesive stress-strain curve

Anyone have the shear stress-strain curve of AF163 film adhesive mfg by 3M? Publicly available?

I'm looking for the data generated following ASTM D 5656 "KGR" extensometer test.

I'm looking to develop an elastic-perfectly plastic idealization of the adhesive for bonded joint analysis.

RE: AF 163 film adhesive stress-strain curve

I would be surprised if 3M doe not have this data somewhere. The problem will be finding someone willing and able to give it to you.

I know that Cytec has this data since they developed the KGR-1 test and compete with AF163.

RE: AF 163 film adhesive stress-strain curve

Be careful of the data in DOT/FAA/AR-02/97 because a lot of it was terminated well before failure so the shear stress-strain data is incomplete, and adhesion failure data is not segregated from the valuable cohesion failure data.

If it's used for one off repairs on secondary structure with follow on testing I don't see too much of a problem if there is more strain energy available then what the stress strain curves show in the document.
