I just bought a PDF copy of :

The Finite Element Method and Applications in Engineering Using ANSYS®

Madenci, Erdogan, Guven, Ibrahim

1st ed. 2005. Corr. 3rd printing, 2006, XVI, 686 p. 463 illus. With CD-ROM., Hardcover

This book is awesome, starts from basic and goes into advanced non linear analysis. Must have for someone in FEA field.

RE: The Finite Element Method in ANSYS«

I had Erodogan Madenci as my professor for FEA just after the book came out and though the theory sections had a few errors the examples were incredibly helpful at the time. He was a great prof.

Of course now I use ABAQUS but the examples were still helpful in getting up to speed on that software too.

where can I find corrections?

RE: The Finite Element Method in ANSYS«

I have them penciled in my copy somewhere. He may have put out an errata, you can check his website. The last time I looked him up he was still at the University of Arizona.
