Hi is it possible to request the distance between too nodes at a specific time in an Abaqus/Standard analysis thanks

RE: Request distance between two nodes at specific time

Hi,

You can use axial connector and request for connector position CP. It will be distance between connector's nodes.
Behaviour for connector should be without elastic characteristic so it will not add any extra stiffness to your model.

RE: Request distance between two nodes at specific time

Can you just query the distance between the nodes in abaqus viewer? You can export their magnitudes and get a plot of distance in the viewer as well.

I know how to use query, my problem is that I want abaqus viewer to display the model at a certain time point so that I can query the distance at that exact time.
