aggregate drying table
aggregate drying table
(OP)
We have an occasional need to do sieve analysis of crushed rock where I work. I have a sieve shaker but need a method of drying the samples. Where the shaker is set up I don't have the adequate wiring that is needed to put in an oven.
I have seen pictures of a drying table used for this purpose. It was basically a large steel table with a propane heater mounted on an arm to direct heat down on the table top when the rock was spread out over it.
Does anybody know of a manufacturer of such a table? Or ever seen a downloadable set of plans for one?
Thanks

RE: aggregate drying table
Might not be the best solution but it might work as a stopgap measure. I guess it depends in part on how dry you need the samples, too. Most of ours were sitting around in buckets for weeks before we sieved them, so we didn't worry much about how dry they were.
