Our customer just required us to purchase a seat of UG NX5 so we could submit GM compliant models for them to upload into TeamCenter. I am the sole designer here and have limited training in UG let alone Toolkit. I am also on Pro/Engineer. This seems like a great place to turn to for questions. I hope you all don't mind stupid newbie questions!

First question....

Why doesn't the part history show up in the Part Navigator when I create a new model in "GM Global Model Seed Parts"  --> "Global_3D_Data(MM)_w/Categories". I created some points and they are not showing up in the tree.

Nevermind- I had to check 'Associative" for them to show up :)

RE: New to UG NX5 & GM Toolkit

You may find that you need to understand some specific requirements for data going in and out of teamcentre depending often upon the local requirements of your GM branch's data management group. In many cases files need to be exported from teamcentre as seed part for you to work with, and can't be copied or renamed in any way. We do some of the same things so if you need further assistance first contact the client for their advice and secondly you're welcome to contact me.

Best Regards
